Praise God for our Weaknesses

Everyone in the world loves to be a winner. It is so easy to talk about our successes, to be the most loved, beautiful, kind…person in our environment. This is because right inside us, we like to show as good and wining people.
Because of this great sense of performance, we tend to be ashamed when we lose, when we fall, when we do not reach the standard or simply when we fail.

As a consequence, we will make sure no one knows about our failure and hide our weakness as much as possible…”No one has to know or even suspect it!”.

What does the Bible says about our weaknesses and failures:

·         “I decided to confess them to you and you forgave…” Psalm 32: 5b

·         “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities…” Esaie 53:5

·         “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships… For when I am weak, then I am strong.…” 2 Corinthians 12:10

As simple as this, no need to be embarrassed when we fail, when we are weak and not up to the task. What we have to do is to bring that weakness to the Lord, thank him for taking it on him on the cross and giving us his strength to replace that weakness. Then make it about HIM, not YOU.

You are weak, but HE is strong

You have failed, but HE is the God of our victory

You can’t make it, but HE is the God of all possibilities, to whom nothing is impossible

You are so ashamed of what you are or have done, HE has taken all our shame on the Cross

Because of all the above, stop weeping and crying over your weaknesses, but trade this with the strength and joy of the Lord.

By choosing to praise God for your weaknesses instead of hiding it with all your strength:

ü  You receive and acknowledge what God did on the cross for your weaknesses

ü  You call God into your situation let his strength be manifested in your weakness

ü  You mark your trust in the Almighty who can , want and will make you strong

ü  You exchange the sadness and shame of being weak with the joy and hope in the sacrifice of Christ

ü  You have the opportunity to see God transforming your weakness/shame into a powerful testimony of what he can do.

Therefore, Dear friend, choose never again to hide and be ashamed of your weaknesses, but instead Praise the Lord for them and leave them to HIM.

Praise God for all these things you have been hiding to everyone, thinks you do not even want to think about, all those issues that make you ashamed. Like a child, just say “I thank you father for this and that I did, for what I am…”

And as you praise the Lord for these, you will see how such praise looks good on you!
